In hindsight this seems like quite a weird thing to have drawn.
But draw it I did, so here it is.
:EDIT:
Finished version in later post!

Graphic Thrills

Robin Bougie (creator of Cinema Sewer) is putting together a oversized coffee table book crammed with loads of full colour XXX movie posters from 1970 to 1985, and he very kindly asked me to do the cover for it!

It's coming out around the end of July. I'll post more up about it nearer the time, but if you want a bit more info, check out Robins site.
I can't wait to get my hands on one of these!

I only meant to draw this silly picture as a quick sketch, but I liked it more than I thought I would and decided to work it up into a finished picture for a limited edition print run.

There are only going to be ten A3 prints and one A2 print, so get them here while you can!

Phoebe Cates, Private School and The Flophouse

Here's a quick pic of Phoebe Cates in 1983's Private School.

Some other vaguely film related stuff; if you listen to podcasts check out The Flophouse.
It's a bad movie podcast put together by three guys, two of whom are writers for the Daily Show.
It's probably my favourite podcast, very funny, so I'm spreading the love!

::EDIT:: played around with it a little bit more.

Rodeo Angel

Here's a painting I just finished recently for a chapbook that Horror Sleaze Trash (nsfw) will be putting out later this year. Ben John Smith sent me a few different bits and pieces of writing to base a drawing off of; I ended up going for the single line "Cowboy hat pap smear".

I'm going to be putting Rodeo Angel out in a limited edition of 20 at A3 and 3 at A2. This one was a lot of fun to work on; sometimes it's nice to cut out all the extraneous stuff and just focus on the central image. Plus the prints look really nice!

Bizarre, Dolphins and Pony Play!

I've done a few different illustrations for Bizarre Magazine; most of these are pretty old now so I thought I'd post them up here for posterity!

These three were done for an article about a man who had a "relationship" with a dolphin in the seventies. The dolphin eventually died :(  I tried to do them in a cheesy romance novel style.

These pics of various members of the Bizarre team in fancy dress were done for the editors page.

These next ones were done to illustrate various aspects of pony play for an article.

Drawing for bizarre is always fun, I can't imagine any other magazine that'd have me drawing such a diverse range of subjects! I've you've never read it, give it go.

Timesplitters Rewind

I recently found out about Timesplitters Rewind, a project where a small group of fans are remaking Timesplitters from scratch but doing it all new and hi-tech! They contacted me to see if I had any old concept stuff floating around that might be any use to them. Unfortunately most of the concept art I did for TS was for my own reference, and probably not a whole lot of use to anyone else.
I always saw the 3d models as the final stage of the characters, and any concepts I did were just a step along the route to realising those characters. Which is basically a long-winded way of saying the concept art is too crappy/sketchy for me to show! Because it was just for my own use I used a lot of visual shorthand and often would just write notes to remind myself of things I wanted to do rather than actually drawing it. The final textured models however I'm pretty proud of, so here are all the renders (only a tiny fraction of all the TS characters though!) I still have floating around on various hard-drives. Some of these I've put up before, so sorry for any duplication. Most of these were done solely by me, but there are couple in this lot that were worked on by other artists (Jake Gumbleton and Nick Carver I think).
The work the guys at Timesplitters Rewind have done so far looks really good, so if that's your bag head over there and take a look.

Hello! Seems like it's been a while since I posted any new art up, and unfortunately I'm not putting anything up now either. I've got a few different things on the go though so I should have something to show soon hopefully.
In the meantime some info; I'm going to be at the Bristol Alternative & Burlesque Fair on Saturday the 11th of May selling prints and postcards, so if you want to have an awkward conversation with someone who doesn't have great social skills, drop by and say hello!

Hello again!
Wow, the updates have really been few and far between this year. I've been drawing pretty much non-stop it feels like, but there doesn't seem to be much I can show! I did just finish a personal pic though, so here's that:

Anyone who follows this blog regularly will probably have picked up on the fact that I'm a big film nerd; sometimes I feel like all the films I've watched, particularly when I was younger, have seeped into my mind and re-wired the way I see things. And as I'm a big perv, one of the biggest things to make an impression on me was all the sexy women in films! There are a few film and TV references in this, but there are also a few entirely made up girls that I based more on a character types than on specific roles; so don't break your brain trying to identify them all.

Available now as a print here.

Another little doodle

I actually spent quite a while working on this, but then my computer crashed and I lost it all, and couldn't bring myself to redo all that work. So it's going to have to stay sketchy!
